Default Very dumb question

Ok, well this may seem very idotic to most but I'm having extreme trouble taking the screws off to install my license plate. Is there a trick to unscrew the screws? I'm using a philips head the screw just keep's turning and turning.

I had the same problem with mine when I first got it. The dealership used a different sized screw and bracket so the screws just turned w/out moving. I had to just pull them out carefully and replace with the right size.

Most likely stripped.

Put a flathead screwdriver between the screw head and clip. Apply some pressure forcing the screw head OUT. Turn screw head at same time.

You need a left handed philips screwdriver.

Good suggestions but no go.... not sure what to do.... I'm forcing it really hard up but not moving.... Probably only turns for Nissan Certified mechanics.

Use a flat head to pry up on the head while unscrewing with the phillip's head screw driver?

That, or use the access space to reach from behind with something and push out on the the screw while using the screw driver to unscrew.

It appears as though the dealer used a screw instead of a bolt..... we had to use a high power dremmel to cut the head off and break the clip off. I can buy new ones now

BTW you in Florabama?
