GTR Spare tire
I recently had a flat front tire and belatedly realized that the spare that was provided with my 2005 GTR would not fit over the front Brembo calipers.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any luck getting the dealer to swap out for a correct size wheel?
BTW, the search function isn't working at the moment in case this has already been covered
Changed title for those that might get confused with GTR

But it couldnt hurt to ask.
Some years back, my BF’s 4Runner suffered a flat tire. When he went to jack it up to install the spare, he discovered the jack had a defect and wouldn’t function. The truck was marooned in an awkward place and since there was no other jack at hand that would fit, I took the defective jack into the nearby Toyota dealer. The truck was well past the warranty period, but like your mismatched spare wheel, the defect had obviously been there from day one. As in your situation, this was the first flat tire and the first opportunity to discover the defect. I don’t know about Nissan North America, but a 30 second call from the dealer to Toyota Canada had me on my way with a shinny new jack.
Did you buy the car new?
This is the spare that came with the car. The Brembos, and the wheels were all factory standard, none of my stuff is after-market. It came directly from Nissan. I purchased the car brand new, from a Nissan Dealership, that I went to, in person.
In other words, Nissan issued a spare that does not fit with their options on their trim level.

I’d be cautious about the “rear wheel on the front, and spare on the rear” recommendation. This is not in my manual. If you look at the front hub, you will see a post that protrudes out from between two of the wheel studs. The purpose of this post is to keep the staggered rear wheels from accidentally being installed on the front. (Stock front wheels and the spare have pockets to accommodate the post, rear wheels don’t.
A large number of aftermarket wheels don’t have these pockets, but it’s not a problem as the post can be removed. However, if you get a flat out on the road you won’t have the tools available to remove this post so that a rear wheel can be
mounted on the front.
It’s my guess that someone mixed up the spare tires at the dealership before you took delivery. I’d make a trip back there to get them to supply the correct spare for your car.
