Airbag light flashing after installing new race bucket seats
How do I make sure my steering wheel airbag will deploy in the event of an accident if this light is flashing? I installed a pair of Recaro bucket seats and noticed that the unit underneath the stock passenger seat needs to stay connected in order to activate the soft top. Now the airbag light won't stop flashing. I still have the stock steering wheel and I would like to still have the airbag working. I still have the stock seats if I need to strip out parts to make it work. Thanks for the help.

Will this mode keep the steering wheel bag active?

From what I understand if you can reset the air bags (flashing light) so that it stays out then all air back connected will deploy in the event they are needed. However, if the light is not flashing and stays on solid then you may have to explore other options such as replacing seat modules that have been removed by installing the new seats.

Reset only work if you have a resistor connecting to the harness underneath your stock seat. Its not that hard to make one. The resistor will fool the system that your oem seats are still connected and it will get rid of the flashing light which can be annoying. I have both racing seats and the steering wheel replace and no light flashing. Here is the thread that will help you. https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...t-air-bag.html
