when it stops, do you just hit it so it goes back up and then let it down again? the roaster is a fickle machine!!! it should go down though! 06 roaster here lol

Search this forum for "5th bow" and you'll find lots of info and symptom descriptions. One guy posted a video clip of the problem.

Also read about the elastic bands.

I have a 2004 Touring ZR as well. Black with about 21k miles. I have that issue every now and then. All I really do is just Press "Close" and then "Open" again...It seems to get caught on something on the way down. I just jiggle it and then it goes down completely.

well it has been blistering cold all winter untill one day it was like 55 or 60 outside. and to us in Sioux Falls thats a GREAT day, during this time of year lol. But im going to wait untill its consistantly warm so the material can warm up and losen up a bit. maybe April or EARLY May, before i drop it again

I have the same problem. I have an 04 350z roadster . It doesnt go all the way down when its cold because the fabric gets hard and hard for it to fold . But when its warm its fine. Hope this helps

Just got an 06 Roadster (noob) and the top also sticks on the way down, near the end. I noticed that the bow directly overhead when the top is closed seems to be "unwrapped" a bit on both driver and passenger side but completely wrapped in the center. The cloth top is tucked into it, and I wonder if the tension has caused it to unwrap over time, leading to it catching on the way down. It seems that when I free that section the top goes the rest of the way down easily. Does anyone else have the same observation?

I think I can rewrap the bow with pliers or vice-grips but am hesitant to start bending metal until I am confident that others see the same thing, and hopefully have fixed the problem this way.
