I have a bit of a funny noise I've been dealing with for about 6 months in my '06 roadster. At around 40-50 mph I get a whistling noise that sounds more like an ocarina. Rather than a "weeeeeeeeeee" I get more of a "whooooooooooooooooo". It sounds like it comes from the top corner of the passenger side of the windshield but so far my wife has been completely disinterested in helping me find the source of the sound. Has anyone had something close to this? I'll try and record the sound on my way home from work in a bit. Thanks!

 

That to me is why I've never fancied buying a roadster, there are too many things to go wrong with the roof regarding sealing and as a result of this you're constantly trying to source the problems of wind noise. If the car is used for pootling around town then less strain is placed on the roof but travelling at high speeds just causes sealing problems that are only going to get worse. I'm afraid I have no answers for your problem suffice to say get a coupe.
