Engine code po171 need some help

Default Engine code po171 need some help

I have an 04 350z Roadster this morning on the way to work service engine light came on after work whent to local shop and came up with po171 system lean bank 1 I have done visual check on vacuum lines and air cleaner didn't find any breaks or cracked lines not even sure if it is a vacuum leak don't have money to get smoke tested what should I do?

Don't get too excited, start here-

Read the whole article then start with the cheap stuff- a vacuum tester from Harbor Freight and rubber hose from Ace Hardware. If no intake leak, move on to CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner and put it back it correctly. Buy/borrow a cheap OBDII scanner that can clear codes. If you have a bad upstream O2 sensor, order from RockAuto.com, cheapest place around. If it's the O2 you will need to borrow an O2 installer kit from AutoZone or similar store. Of course you've already changed your air filter, yes?
