Exclamation Fuel door drain hole

Anyone know anything about the fuel door rubber and the drain hole?
Mines holding water and I'd like to blow it out but I'm worried.
Mine is in the rubber part and holds water. Hopefully it dont drain into the tank

There's an old device called a "pipe cleaner"- small wires with short fuzzy fabric. I'd think that it drains to the ground bc water could get inside the gas flap from car wash/heavy rain.
Not sure canned air would work but mb?

Just clean it out with rag, pipe cleaner, whatever. Nothing will enter the gas tank! Gas cap is there for a reason.
