Eibach springs
I am considering buying a set of Eibach springs from a guy on the forum, is it OK to use the set made for the coupe? Is there one made for the roadster? Thanks.
Apparently so...
When I bought mine they said there where two types one for coupe and one for roadster. My problem now is do I install them with or without adjustable componets... it seems many owners wind up spending hundreds on caster/camber adjustable pieces because the stock ones don't offer enough adjustability.... grrrrrr
from my underdstanding, there's only one set that fits both coupe and roadsters...maybe someone can prove me wrong...Im using eibach on roadster and i think it states coupe/roadster.
From my understanding, there are two different sets. However, in regards to the camber/caster problem, because the Eibach Springs lower only 1" max, you can just go in for a realignment at your local shop and get it back to stock with stock arms. So I hear...
Eibach's prokit offering for the 350Z coupe and 350Z roadster/convertible are the same spring, same identicle part numbers, same published drop amounts (1"/1" for both).
Here's a cut and paste from a recent post I did concerning Eibach springs on the 350Z and alignment, it's very much on topic considering what you guy's have brought up above.
In case anyone was wondering, here are the spring rate specs for the springs.
Eibach 350Z progressive springs 1”/1” drop*
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 296/384 initial/final rear 316/421
G35 sedan 6mt
Koni coilover front 448lbs
Koni shock rear 342lbs
Hotchkis front bar set to med
350EVO rear bar set to med
Crawford plen
Custom TD injen
HF cats
K&N panel
Rogue short shifter
Enkei RPM2
BfGoodrich KD
245/40-18
265/40-18

As a member that has been here since 2003 and takes a rather disturbing interest in most things suspension, I once did a mass search awhile back looking at all eibach spring install posts and what happened concerning alignment. This is the result of that search.

BTW, you CANNOT adjust the camber in the front of the car without the use of aftermarket upper control arms.

hi guys.... i'm from germany and just ordered what you call a track version roadster, we only have one modell!!! i bought the sprimgs from Cobra, now i heard they don't produce them, they're supposedly eibach springs... i'm not really sure coupe and roadster springs differ; try contacting ctd great britain, you'll find them on google... they helped me!!!

I just had the Eibach pro-kit springs installed on my roadster 2 weeks ago. They actualy shipped the wrong springs (for the coupe) the first time. They had to return them and have Eibach re-ship springs for the ZR. The guys at mossy performance did note that they are different part numbers. I have a 2006 ZR if that makes any difference. Also seems little more dropped than the published 1.2" F/R but it sure looks sweet.
I brought it in for a re-alignment and the guys said that they got it pretty damn close to spec considering how low it looks.
