Ordering time
SluggoZ,
On one hand I am glad ther eare others like you who sympathize with me, and on the other hand it sux that those same people are in the same boat.
I can tell you that Nissan told me that I did have a guarantee build date in June, so what the dealer is telling you about all of the orders out of Japan being cancelled seems like BS to me. IF it isn't, now I am screwed.
How do you buy wholesale by the way. Not that I would cancel my order to do it, just curious.
Hang on brother, the cars are coming, and hopefully right quick!!

I can understand you guys not wanting any extra miles on the cars - It was the same for me. The best way to get low or no milege and get the car you want is to put a deposit on a car that is already in rout to the dealer.
I contacted the dealer and told them exactly what I wanted - he then checked his incoming inventory and the car I wanted was in rout from japan. I put a deposit down and they called me three weeks later, the day before they told me it was to arrive.
I got to the dealership just as they pulled it off the truck - Still had the white protective adhisive on it plastic covers on the seats and it was dirty as hell.
I test drove it and after my 3 mile test drive it had only 10 miles on it. I purchased the car right then and drove it home. it was so new had to pick up the key fobs and book the next day.

I am not sure why you guys have to wait months and months for a car. The dealer right around the corner from me has 18 roadsters alone.
the only one he didnt have was a PPW It took him 3 weeks to get me one.
he told me it would arrive on 5/14/04 I came in on 5/13/04. I picked it up as it came off the truck.
Your best bet it to go to www.nissanusa.com and build the car you want then do a dealer search in your area for the one you want. Chances are you can find the car you want and only a few miles from home.

I Have to agree. I just picked up a new touring model in Silverstone with the 18"rims and Nav. Couldnt find it anywhere locally. Sunday I did the search and it apeared at a dealer about 45 miles away. I went yesterday and picked it up. Dealer said wow it was unloaded of the truck in the middle of the night and scaned into inventory. The car had 6 miles on it and was never even test driven. It now sits in my garage. Awesome car. by the way I traded my 350z coupe which had the 17" rims. The Roadster has 18" rims and provides a much better ride. I would highly recomend them. Good Luck !!

I also traded my coup in and now have a roadsetr with 18" rims the ride is much smoother with no bounce.
When you build and check for a car on Nissanusa.com the inventory they give you for dealers includes autos that may not be on lot just yet. So call ahead it is worth it
Just to let you guys know...I just picked up my black/black TR this past Friday. $99.00 under INVOICE. I flew into Nashville TN. and drove home in the afternoon. It took less than 2 and 1/2 days to complete the deal. Everything I wanted. Trent fax me ahead the complete history of the vehicle. Production date 4/10/04 Delivery date 5/24 ETA date 5/25 and I drove home on 5/28. The car had 4miles and they had to trade for it and I picked it up with 39miles on the car. The plane ticket cost $106.00 and he picked me up at the airport. They are 10 mins. from the airport and 5 min. from I65. Contact Trent L. Earlie at tlearlie@hippodromecars.com or trente@users.ccleads.com or call 1-615-248-5100. Ask for Trent Earlie. It was so easy to do and what a RIDE home!!! Its INCREDIBLE!!! Good Luck!
