Pikes Peak to the sea!!
Well, I went through a huge detailing process today. (sorry folks I might ramble) Did the entire clay bar process on my PPW Roadster after a long slow wash. I then proceeded to put a couple of coats of Autoglym on her. I read good things from the Brits and others about the Autoglym Super Resin Polish so I thought I'd give it a try. Then, out came the 303. For those of you with a PPW with Frost leather int. don't worry. The 303 didn't discolor the gray vinyl or the navy top. It did give a nice rich feeling and look to the ragtop (I used the vinyl protectant). Then it was up to the hills for a drive down Mulholland Drive in L.A. Next, I ran down the Glen 'till I hit Sunset Blvd. and headed out to the sea in Malibu. The smell of the salt air came out of nowhere on the last turn on Sunset. Finally, I headed back through the boulder filled canyons on Malibu Cyn. drive going as fast as I could through the switch backs. All in all. . . a wonderful roadster day!!

Yes I did. I read ALL the forum sites about what our tops consist of. Everyone is positive that it is vinyl. . .then everyone is positive it is cloth. I have read testimonials from people that have said Nissan contacted them saying the top is vinyl. Then, another testimonial will say Nissan contacted them saying it is cloth. In the detailing area, I found a thread from a cleaning company (Raggtopp I believe) that states that the Japanese have made a ragtop that looks amazingly like cloth, however, it is made from synthetic materials. As such, use a vinyl and not a cloth protectant. I also read testimonials from owners who have used the 303 vinyl protectant on the inside of their Z's as well as the ragtop and gave superb reviews. After all the research, that is what I decided to do also. I am here to say that the 303 vinyl protectant went on evenly without making either the inside (frost interior) or the Navy top look wet or shiny. It simply gave a subtle sheen and went on easy with one wipe. The guys at the auto parts store where I bought it also swear by the stuff because it has no silicone that with make anything slippery or dry out later. Hope this helps!!
