Roadster Newbie
OHMIGOD, what was I waiting for! It was such a beautiful day yesterday in the Washington area that I decided I'd had enough. I pulled the trigger on a Lemans Sunset Enthusiast Roadster 5AT on the spur of the moment. I had thought I'd get a Touring, but after five minutes with the car, all that mattered was that the top was down and the engine was purring in my ear. It's my first sports car and my first convertible, and I've been grinning from ear to ear every since.
I bought at Sheehy Nissan in Waldorf, Md., and it was a painless experience. Everyone at the dealership was great. I paid MSRP ($35,790 with splash guards, convenience net, aluminum kickplates, floor mats and trunk mat) before TTL, but the dealership included a Silencer security system, which requires an extra "key" before the vehicle can be started, so I felt good about the price. Actually, this is a LOT of car for the money. I can understand people's willingness to pay more than MSRP, although I'm glad I didn't have to.
I went with Lemans Sunset on the spur of the moment. I'd always said I wanted a red car, then I was stuck on Pikes Peak White or Silverstone, but after seeing the Lemans in the sun next to some of the others, I knew I had to have it.
The only downside is that I think I may have an air conditioner problem. Just a click or two above 60, the AC starts blowing hot air. There doesn't seem to be a wide enough range for the temperature control, and I wonder if the AUTO setting is working correctly. It would only blow out of the floor vents when the unit is on AUTO, although it blows out of the appropriate vent when I set it in a particular mode. It doesn't seem to work at all like the Auto AC in my Pathfinder. I'm going to go by the dealership this a.m. to have them check it out. I must be really in love with this car, because I'm supposed to be blowing a gasket, but I'm taking it in stride.
I'll post pictures soon. I started taking them last night, but I haven't had time to download them from my camera.

Congrats on the purchase! You'll love the car. LS is such a head turner. Just get ready for people to come up to you and start talking about your car .
It takes a few minutes for the AC to blow cold air. Aside from that, you should notice temp. changes all the way through the dial.

Like the aforementioned said. . .Con grats on the new Z!! This is my first sports/convertible as well. People will constantly be talking to you when the top is down. Also, this is a great community site for newbies (like myself) and seasoned veterans alike. As far as the hot air, look at the bright side, you can put the top down on a chilly night and stay warm!!

Congrats on the Roadster!
As I don't have to drive to work yet I find myself looking for reasons to take my roadster out for a drive everyday, especially now that the weather is getting better.
Enjoy.
