I've been using an archaic 1.5 Mega Pixel from Fuji and it's good enough for pics here. If I bought a new one, I'd go as high resolution as my budget would allow.

The reality is that if you shoot something with a 3+ mp camera you will either have to shot a low resolution photo, or reduce the image via a computer program. Otherwise, your image is going to be way too big for the limitations of this board.

The more Megapixels, the better the quality of pic. Also, the more megapixels, the more $$$$$$$$$$ I have a fuji S5000 under $400. Great camera 3.1 MP

This is the problem I am having. How do I reduce them? Do I need to buy a program?

Digital cameras allow you to shoot in at least 3 different levels of resolution. For the sake of posting pictures here, you could simply shoot at the lowest resolution. Then you won't have to do any reduction.

If you had to use software, I am not certain what to tell you. I am a graphic designer, so I tend to have all of the high-end programs...far more than you would need.

I reduce mine in Microsoft Paint. Copy pic-paste in paint.-goto stretch/skew-reduce size-edit/cut-open new-paste. Then check your properties. If it's still not small enough, repeat the process until it is. GL2u, FLZ, Dave

You can go to http://www.download.com and look for a free software that make it easy to resize pictures.

Wink

You can use Microsoft Photo Editor -> it's come with XP, to get the photo size reduce. Just goto File -> Image -> resize. Or you can use photoshop to edit the photo if you wish. Generally speaking, 640x480 pix is the good size to post up
