Has anyone here traded in there Z Coupe for a Z Roadster. Did you get a good deal for the trade? Any pros or cons? Thanks!

I traded my one week old 5AT Touring coupe for my TRACK and took a hit.

Thats just the way it goes when you trade.

First, you will take a heavy hit financially on a trade, especially basically trading a new car for a new car. First year depreciation is most.

And, dude, only girls drive convertible sport cars.

I've owned both... Coupe is a pen*$ extender. Roadster is a chick magnate.

Dude, I think chicks love to be the passanger of the Roadster, not the driver. Therefore I recommand a 5AT roadster, Your one hand will on the wheels and one hand on the chick beside you!!!

 

cars dont get chicks...thats a myth imo. if you cant get a chick without the car, the car isnt going to change things for ya. i dont even tell the girls i date what i drive and pick them up with my 99 volvo until i decide they arent gold diggin ho's...then i show em my toy

Not sure about the fun part, I guess the roadster.
Roadster: I think z with the top doesn't look special , it just look like 944 or probably like other roadster.

I'm thinking determining gender based on a ragtop is not too intelligent? The bottom line is this car, ragtop or coupe, straight(get it?) up rocks...I think we all know this! Yes, I own a roadster and amazingly enough, I still get woody's from the ladies even after I rolled off the lot. It's all in what you want from the car! I like rare cars more than common. Not that Z's are common(yet) but there are fewer roadsters than coupes, and originality breeds individuality which is why we all spend major bucks on nice *** rims, lowering kits, and an oversized rear spoiler for that masculine shopping cart look. I agree that the coupe does have better design lines than the roadster and if it had a sunroof available I might have purchased that instead, but, I think there's definitely something to be said about doing 140 mph in the wind. Last time I checked, it wasn't gay to be doing that on a sportbike...it's the same rush, dude(well, maybe not exactly)! Also, there are some kick *** ragtops out there from vintage vettes to ferraris to jags and I certainly wouldn't mind a nice Aston Martin. If it's a "look" that your after....try NOT to look when a sweet lookin' Z power drops at a busy intersection on campus! Just one person's opinion...keep up the chatter!

 

I'm not a fan of the Roadster, the coupe is soooo much nicer. I feel like the Roadster is just kinda feminine... its no Toyota Celica, but its still kinda feminine

 

Only if you're gay and you got an automatic. Besides, the roadster with the top up looks like crap. totally ruins the lines of the car.

 

i agree, if you wanted cars to get chicks... Go get a bling car with some chrome rims or something.

p.s I don't like convertibles, but the roadster does look like its a fun car to drive.

 

if you're buying a car to get chicks, thats a problem... however, if your ego gets off on women telling you they dig your car, then that's cool. we are men. it's called testosterone.

this man has owned both the coupe and the roadster, and the difference, when it comes to the response from females, can be broken down in to one simple statment; and that is this: when i owned the coupe, women would regularly compliment the ride... now, with the roadster, they all ASK for a ride. i'm not saying that i've got it to get chicks, they just dig it MORE than the coupe, that's all i'm sayin...

it's a sweet ego trip, nothing more, nothing less. so all you dudes out there with coupes--props out, solid ride. but when it comes to what it does for the women, sorry fellas, i've seen both sides, they like the top down. And when you smoke me in a race because you're 200lbs lighter, that's cool, because the lady sitting next to me that asked me to take her for a ride doesn't like to drive fast. she likes to drive SLOW.

Z is'nt good enuff for Seattle chicks to batt an eyelash oh well lol
