Seam on Top Opening Up
A few days ago I noticed that a seam in the top of my Roadster is opening up. It's in the back top corner of the passenger side (I tired posting a photo, but no matter how small I make it I get the message that it's too big). It's not a stitched seam, but what appears to be a glued seam. Has anyone else noticed this.
It's a 2004.5 model that I have had for 7 months (9,000 miles).

Same this happened to mine a few months ago but mine started to seperate at he last strut bar on the drivers side coner. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced it (after a fight). Mine was a '04 and about the sameamount of miles. Some FYI's:
1. Call NNA and open a case before you take it to the dealer
2. Don't let the dealer try to talk you into having it repaired first. Insist on having the top replaced.

And what number do you recommend for NNA?
Thanks

Had my top and frame replaced several months ago due to holes forming and seam split. New frame and top fit well but had lots of wind noise on the driver side. Turns out a tension cable was not attached correctly and you could actually lift the top up from above the drivers side window and look into the car. Took it back and had the cable re-attached - fixed the problem. If yours makes too much noise check the tension of the top to the frame and make sure it is tight. No problems to report with the quality of the new top or frame....yet
I had the material part of my top replaced.
I found a place the specializes in convertable tops first, then when to the dealer and asked them to outsource it to them.
It took three days but they did a perfect job. I think the key to this repair is who the dealer outsources it too.

My 2004 ZR developed the customary pinholes in the top around the curve in the main brace on the passenger side at ~9 months. When I reported it, my dealer offered to replace it before I could ask, and the new redesigned top's been trouble-free so far.
A separating seam may be a different problem -- hopefully not a harbinger of things to come in the 2005s.
