the fcon is not going to give you much more power, it is going to give you a smoother safer power level with the ability to push it a little farther safely...

Well if you are referring to the fact that I mentioned that they are not stock autos and you think that they are, you are incorrect.

 

Hey tech im not to sure who you are talking to i was the one that said something about the supra and the auto tranny. I think this guy just jumped in and started talking without reading most of the thread. Anyhow yes you are correct they aren't stock auto tranny's but neither are the manuals when you start putting as much power down to the ground as some supra's do right. Anyhow this is a sweet swap and is there anything for the auto tranny's for the z's coming out other than paddle shifters.

 

fast auto supra's don't use Toyota trannies anymore.. most of them use BL or TH400's

 

This is correct.

The stock supra auto can only take about 400hp before it has issues.

 

Not sure what you are referring to when you say "neither are the manuals". The stock Getrag in the Supra can pretty much take as much abuse as you can throw at it.

yup.. poeple confuse the Supra Getrag Tranny with the VR-4 Getrag tranny.. the stock 6spd on a supa handle 1000whp no problems

Funny thing is he did not know who I was until I started messing with him and his reaction was priceless. I've know Gurgen for quite a while and when he left me the message I could tell he did not know it was me. I knew exactly who he was since his name is unique.

The longer the Z and g is out, the less sense it makes to do this conversion as they become cheaper and cheaper. Who seriously dumps 30g's into their car then goes, 'hmmm, I'd like to shift it now". A fool and his money are soon parted.

Nevertheless....I see this is a testament to the skill of the guys at GTM, plain and simple.
