I only have the Nismo Y-pipe. Everything else is stock. i have attached the dyno sheet.
That doesn't look like the initial vs. final? Is that the 285whp vs 296whp dyno? Why is it that when you make more power the curve falls off earlier? Not that it really matters, it's only by like.. 1-2hp and it's not in the usable range, but still. Just odd.

the dyno sheet only shows the 2nd and the final dyno run.

I take it this dyno represents the two "after" tunes and not the baseline?

I don't get the 8k RPM redline though. What's the point? it looks like 7500 RPMs is the optimum shift point anyway (With that power curve) to stay as high in the powerband as possible for the most time.

Also, Was this on 91 octane, or higher?

Oh, and what do the AFR numbers look like?
yes the dyno sheet only show the 2nd and final tune. baseline was on another sheet. tadashi said stock power curve for the HR i have shift at peak power (7000rpms) but now i can shift at 7800rpms. at this rpm there is still power available.

the tune is on 91 octane. tadashi also said 300whp is not difficult to attain however he said the best intake is the stock one. he has test many aftermarket intakes and all of the actually lost power. once the stock intake is put back there is a major jump in horsepower.

When you got your car tuned to 91 does that mean you can still benefit from 100 octane gas if used?

The point of increasing the redline to 8k is really more to avoid the fuel cutoff at 7500. At 7500 rpm power is already decreasing, but in a race situation where you're approaching a turn, but not quite there yet, if it comes down to shifting at 7500 rpm which will result in a complete power loss during the shift and a loss of speed, or pulling for a couple hundred rpm more before your break for the turn, which would you do?

Obviously this isn't a situation you'd face daily driving, but at least now you can pull all the way to redline without fuel cutoff. Running beyond that speed isn't advisable for more then a moment or two, but its there if you need it. My above situation will only come into play on certain tracks at certain speeds, but if you happen to live in SoCal and go to Streets of Willow, you'll be able to avoid a few unnecessary shifts into 3rd through a lot of the track.

As far as a CEL fix, I don't believe the reflash will do anything to fix it.
hey profink have you ran your car at Willow Springs Big Track? If you did what was your time. Personally I am not a fan of the Street. It is a slow speed track and mostly a 3rd, 4th gear track. By the way what is your lap time at the Street?

I haven't run the big track yet. I would like to, but I don't trust my OEM brakes enough to do it yet. My best time on Streets was 1:36:997. Every time I run I'm getting faster, but I'm also sure you know how much traffic there is on the weekends on that track. I think my best runs had me hitting traffic before a complete lap. I'd love to run Streets without 20 other cars running at the same time.

Yup, the OEM air boxes are the best, so unless someone just wants intakes for the sound then stick to stock. K&N drop-ins are still a good option, but more so you don't have to replace the stock filters all the time.

Yes, you can still benefit from running 100, but not as much as if you get tuned for 100.

Highly unlikely. The performance benefits from 2 more octane are probably negligible.

Nice choice! I was actually looking for SMB in a touring, but once I saw it in person decided tv carbon was nicer. And will all the modding I have planned I'm glad I only got the base.

OEM brake should be good. you just need a better set of pads and you are all set. i agree the Street can get irritating whenever there are 20 or more cars running at the same time. I remember last time I was watching the Scion event at the Street it was a rush hour on the freeway.

This looks great...

I need to go check the technosquare site!!

Interesting comment about aftermarket intakes.
I am running the Stillen intakes so I will be curious to see how they
perform. They don't change the actual intake runners, just the filters and shrouding, so hopefully they just breathe better

Bahnzii you can throw away the Stillen intakes. I had the same short tube setup when i got my first tune last Friday. The best peak power Tadashi can get was 255whp. That actually lost power. Then he ask me to change it back to the stock intake and yesterday he retune the car for me at no charge and he got baseline 270whp and peak power 296whp at the final run.
