And you are right though that the VQ35HR will be able to share parts between the VQ37. But we do know the intake manifolds will not simple bolt on between the engines.
how interchangeable so us guys with an intake can switch it out into the vq37 i.e. new Z from our current vq35. or are the piping different

We have identical mods besides tune / and cats. I have metallic hfcs from berk and u have crawford.. so your cars power is impressing me. Do you think you're good for high 12s now?

Default 07 Nismo Reflash

Just came back from Technosquare. They did a reflash on my 07 Nismo. Tadashi was such a great guy. he made 3 runs. the baseline was 270whp, the first tune showed 285whp and the final tune resulted in 296.5whp/259.2lb/ft. I think these numbers are great. I only have the Nismo Y-pipe. Everything else is stock. i have attached the dyno sheet.

Call Tadashi and get the number from the technosquare website. Im pretty sure you can already get the base flash since profink was the volenteer to get the data from japan to the u.s. YOu don't have to wait 3 weeks at all. YOu just pay and Tadashi will flash and tune it for you. Altough i have a hunch that its not avaliable if you want to send it in yet. I think you can only get it if you are local in socal and drive to technosquare. Im about 80% sure cause my convo with Tadashi was last week and i dont' remember 100%. Gl and let us know what is availiable.....when i call him next week to see the progress they have made i'll update if the information i gave out was valid.

Very promising numbers - It seems 300+ WHP would easily be attainable, even surpassable, with full Exhaust and HFC's.

I take it this dyno represents the two "after" tunes and not the baseline?

I don't get the 8k RPM redline though. What's the point? it looks like 7500 RPMs is the optimum shift point anyway (With that power curve) to stay as high in the powerband as possible for the most time.

Also, Was this on 91 octane, or higher?

Oh, and what do the AFR numbers look like?

300+ HP will be surpassable quite easily. My peak HP is at 301.7 running on nothing but HFCs and Nismo exhaust. This is on 91 octane.

The point of increasing the redline to 8k is really more to avoid the fuel cutoff at 7500. At 7500 rpm power is already decreasing, but in a race situation where you're approaching a turn, but not quite there yet, if it comes down to shifting at 7500 rpm which will result in a complete power loss during the shift and a loss of speed, or pulling for a couple hundred rpm more before your break for the turn, which would you do?

Obviously this isn't a situation you'd face daily driving, but at least now you can pull all the way to redline without fuel cutoff. Running beyond that speed isn't advisable for more then a moment or two, but its there if you need it. My above situation will only come into play on certain tracks at certain speeds, but if you happen to live in SoCal and go to Streets of Willow, you'll be able to avoid a few unnecessary shifts into 3rd through a lot of the track.

As far as a CEL fix, I don't believe the reflash will do anything to fix it.

8000rpm just gives you those extra rpms so that you dont hit the limiter if you are a bit tardy on the 7500rpm shift.
