Talking Need help!!! VDC and SLIP light on!!!

So I was searching the forum but I could not find anything that could help. My vdc and slip light come on as soon as I start driving like the first few feet I move they both com on. I have had a similar problem but it was my BREAK light VDC and SLIP but I fixed that it turned out to be I didn't have enough break fluid.
But now it's my VDC and SLIP light only?
I change my rear break pads today but they still come on????
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Have you added new tires recently? What size?

According to your owners manual:

VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL
(VDC) SYSTEM (if so equipped)
 Indicator light
If a malfunction occurs in the system, the
“SLIP” and “VDC OFF” indicator lights illuminate
in the instrument panel
. As long as these
indicators are illuminated, the VDC system
function is canceled.

If engine related parts such as a muffler
are not standard equipment or
are extremely deteriorated, the “VDC
OFF” indicator or “SLIP” indicator or
both indicator lights may illuminate
.
Do not modify the vehicle’s suspension.
If suspension parts such as
shock absorbers, struts, springs, stabilizer
bars and bushings are not
NISSAN-approved or are extremely
deteriorated the VDC system may not
operate properly. This could adversely
affect vehicle handling performance,
and the “VDC OFF” indicator
or “SLIP” indicator or both indicator
lights may illuminate
.
If brake related parts such as brake
pads, rotors and calipers are not
standard equipment or are extremely
deteriorated, the “VDC OFF” indicator
or “SLIP” indicator or both indicator
lights may illuminate
.

If wheels or tires other than those
recommended are used, the VDC sys-
tem may not operate properly and the
“VDC OFF” indicator or “SLIP” indicator
or both indicator lights may
illuminate.

My first guess would be your front brake pads need to be replaced. Second, you have a malfunction in the system - it needs to be checked.

Well I just got a BBK in the front about 3 months ago if there was a malfunction in the front breaks it would have started doing the SLIP light and VDC as soon as I would have driven it from the shop right??? Second my rear tires are worn down not sure if that could be it because I use to have 20's with worn tires and never had this happen to me? By the way I have 19's now.

It could be low pads or it could be a bad wheel speed sensor. Because the lights trigger immediately, I'd suspect a malfunction in the system before worn tires, etc.

Do you think any mechanic would be able to pin point the problem or should I take it to the dealership?

A mechinic can check the obvious like word pads. But he'd need the diagnostic capabilities of the Consult system to test the ABS/TCS/VDC computer, speed sensors, etc. That's something only dealers have access to unless you find a big shop that specializes in Nissans.

I just had the same thing happen to me last night. I just started my car and it imediately died/check engine light/VDC Off/Slip Light came on. Restarted the car, and after reving it a little it held idle no problem. Drove home no problems except my dashboard looking like a christmas tree. Reset the ECU and the VDC/Slip lights disappeared but the Check engine light is still on.

CEL means that you need to get the code read to find out what's wrong. If you dash lights up like a xmas tree - then you have a real problem.

I was exagerating a bit. On the drive home the SES, VDC Off, and SLIP lights were on. Like I said, pulled ECU fuse and all but the SES light disappeared.

The car has stalled once or twice right after startup in the last year but nothing ever came of it. I wonder if they are related in some way. I would say my tire sizes might play a part however I wasn't moving and I've had this size tire on for a couple years.

Drove around all morning with no problems so I'll get the dealer to pull the code and see what comes up.

I reset the ECU and manually cleared the SES light and there hasn't been any problems since Saturday night. If it comes on again I'll do something about it.

Yes I also feel the slipping. The SES came back two weeks later so I'm going to take it in.

looks like i came to the right thread. my car has stalled twice this morning, and lurched a little last night. i checked the codes and im throwing a p0340 (camshaft position sensor - bank a).

so, now I need to replace this. Is this sensor approachable, or should I take it to a mechanic? Also, if it isn't too difficult, can anyone tell me where it is? Thanks.
