Default i've searched, jl 10w3v2, what amp...

I am looking to add a jl 10w3v2 to my G, I want to keep the stock ****, just add a sub and amp. What is a good, inexspensive amp to go with. May also upgrade front door speakers later on down the line (keep that in mind). So what are my options? Thanks

Phoenix Gold Ti900.7

Amp isnt cheap but it does everything. You will never need another amp after you buy this one...Price and info

I suggest this keeping in mind that you want to upgrade your front speakers in the future.

That seems overly excessive. Especially for just front speakers and one sub. Any other suggestions?

Cheap and Amp shouldnt be used in the same sentence.I have 12w3v2 with a Kenwood 600 watt amp with gain turned halfway down (300 watts) is all she will take and it sounds good I just have to work out the rattles FATMAT next on my list because rattles is the most annoying sound, my NISMO wing is the problem it rattles bad.

I have jl audio 250/1 with a 10w3v2-D6 in a sealed box. Works great. Very tight bass. More than loud enough for the Z.

Spend the extra money on a good amp, it's well worth it. Then again, this is coming from two guys who spent enought money on their stereo to pay for a TT.

I didn't blow you off, you act as though what you say goes. i asked for opinoinS not an opinion. I don't need to have the absolute best, I want to add a bit of thump to my car without breaking the bank. I think i've decided to go with a memphis 250/1 mono amp, I've heard great things about memphis.

Now I have a question about ohms. The Memphis amp i'm thinking of does 250 watts rms at 2 ohms and I beleive it was 125 at 4 ohms. So Does that mean I need to get a 10w3v2 that is set for 2 ohms, or does it matter? Is there different ways to wire **** up to achieve different ohms? Enlighten me please.

there are several options:
single voice coil subs
dual voice coil subs<--of these
-dual 2 ohm coils
-dual 4 ohm coils

you want dual 4 ohm coils, This will allow you to wire the coils in parallel 1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2 so 2 ohms which will give you maximum power out of you amp

cheers and good luck

I've got a 10w3d2 dual 4 ohm powered by a 250/1. Nice, tight, and not too expensive.

I bought most of my stuff from a guy in NH. There's a local hole-in-the-wall shop near 104th and kent-kangley that has an EXCELLENT installer that has very reasonable prices.

This is what my box looks like:
