Default Navi Disc - latest Version? Where to get updated disc?

I just got my 04 G35 and it has a Navtec disc version 6.2 - from 03. The data is old as my nieghborhood doesn't even show up on it.

I went to Navtecs site and they don't show nissan or infinity as an option

Anyone know what the latest version is and if later than mine - where is the cheapest place to buy?

I just picked up my NEW car on Friday - kind of stinks that the 6.3 has been out for a couple of months and I have to pay 185 to get the latest software version. (car had 6.2 in it)
What scares me is I just read a post stating that his area still has missing roads on the DVD - even though they have been laid down a few years ago.
I want and update - but to pay 185 and find out my new neighborhood's roads are still not on it would really add insult to injury.
Hum - what to do?????

Yeah... trust me people, don't bother burning it. I have a Sony 16x external dual layer burner and I burned it onto a dual layer DVD-R and it wouldn't load. In fact, it wouldn't even eject. I had to pay Nissan $49.99 to get it out of my car. Just stick with the one it came with or cough it up for the latest. Just my $.02.

Really? I thought a lot of the aftermarket ones allowed for downloading the latest copies free off the manufacterer's website? Boy that had me fooled!

FYI... currently trying to negotiate a GB with Zenrin for my350z.com members. Last response was that my letter has been kicked up to upper management for consideration.

Not holding my breath...and I'm sure if they discount it, it won't be much, but $150 or $160 is still better than $185.

The new smart map disc for the alpine nav system is 300.00. You cant just download it. The software is not acutally made by them it is just provided from smart map to work with their nav system. This covers the entire US though. Some of you have to use 3 or 4 discs for that.

$300?! The $180 is starting to look better (but I still want a GB).

The factory DVD based system in the Z uses 1 disc and covers all of the US and part of Canada.
