Default is Rockford fosgate 150a1 mono car amp strong enough?

hi, I was just wondering if fosgate 150a1 mono car amp outputs enough power to.....lets say....a 10inch alpine type R or 10inch JL 10w3? also how's the quality?
I am asking this, because I just won a bid on this item, because my brother used my ID and just bidded on it for fun...oh well.
So I guess this will be his christmas present.

how much do these retail for anyways?

let me know guys,
thanks
and merry christmas!
John.

I have a RF amp that puts out 600watts total and like 200rms.

It pushes my 1000 watt sony xplod 10" sub (which weighs 15lbs) pretty hard.

IT does get really warm or slightly hot, but it's not a problem since I give it plenty of space.

I got my amp for like 100 bux and it doesn't rattle the windows but it will rattle any loose things in the trunk.

This is my first amp ever and i like it alot for a cheap little amp.

I believe RF amps do what they really claim so it probably enough.

I had the same amp and it got too hot and fried itself, just make sure it gets enough air and you should be just fine, I had mine for 2+ years before it over heated

I've got a Rockford P3001 Mono Amp (150W RMS) with a Rockford P210S4 Sub mounted in a sealed enclosure and it hits hard, I've always heard that Rockford under rates the RMS on their amps for competition purposes. I've owned 4 RF amps over the years and none of them have fried on me...however, I've had a Sony and Alpine die on me.

I was running a crappy 12" sub in My camaro SS, I actually got pretty good bass out of it, Obviously nothing that your neighbors are going to complain about but a good upgrade. Hope this helps with your decision
