I want to take my avn 2454 out and put in the nav cubby...
I just want the 2454 to do navigation and play dvds.
I want to get this: Clarion DRZ9255.html
This:
Dual 24-Bit/96kHz Sampling DACs and DSP
Burr-Brown DACs
+
this:
Fiber Optic Input/Output.
=
noise less system.
But my question is will my 2454 fit?? Anyone Tried it?

Our cruising floor is about 70dBA ... not friendly
Truth is, critical listening ... that which requires equipment such as this should be done in the home or studio.
Get a nice HU with a decent signal path and be happy. This is a car, not a studio ... and it will never sound like one.

I don't see why this is so out of the question. Looks like a good deck and I remember you saying how frustrating the noise/hiss was in your present system.
Regarding road noise, I think a lot of us on this forum have added sound proofing to help wiith the problem. I've added about 55 lbs of extreme matting, liquid deanener, and closed & semi-open foams myself and now have in my opinion an acceptable listening envir, in fact the wind noise is now louder in my ride than the tire howl, was not the case before soundproofing.

JimRHIT, yes I am well aware of that, my deck sucks because of the hiss, I want something I know will not produce ANY hiss
....I remember you saying how frustrating the noise/hiss was in your present system.
and ive tested everything, the deck is the problem not the line driver,eq or amps

Well ... you don't need much in a deck to get rid of the hiss. I am just trying to say that you don't have to spend a lot of cash to get what you want.
I have used an Alpine 7995, 7998 Pioneer 740MP and 860MP in my car and have yet to experiece any hissing at all, EXCEPT, when the ground on my 860mp was bad. I soldered on a new terminal on the end of the ground wire and resanded the spot where I attached it. It was then fine.
I too have added much in the area of sound deadening, but I still feel that this no-noise deck is above and beyond overkill for a car.
just my thoughs, good luck getting rid of the hiss ... i guess I never saw that other thread.
