Default Conflicted between Alpine HUs

I'm going to replace my Alpine 9833 with either IVA-D300 or
IVA-D901. I'm not sure which to go with. the D300 is touch screen but it's pre-outs are only 2 volts. The D901 has 4 volt pre-outs but is not touch screen. Anyone with these units give feedback.

I'd wait until the 2005 models come out.

agree. wait for 05 model.
you'll not be very happy to see new models a few weeks after you spend all your money for 04 models...

The D300 is great. Touchscreen is awesome to have. Plus with the new pulse touch feedback...its amazing! The only problem I have with is is that navigating my I-Pod music is a little tricky. But that's more of the I-Pod interface than it is the HU. If you want navigation it will not be touchscreen on the D300 but that probably won't bother you too much since you are considering the D901 also.

Most likely they will have already been revealed and are on their way to retail stores. Most of the time they show them off at shows like SEMA and are available shortly after.

Exactly what I was thinking. Which leads me to believe Alpine does not have a new indash screen unit comming out this year. I would hvae seen it on Cruthcfield by now, with a comming soon caption

according to news i'm reading,
04 ipod integration was kinda bulky since headunits were NOT designed to use with iPod so they will have better iPod integration on 05 models

and i have no info of their new headunit but i have a info of new nav brain:
http://www.alpine-usa.com/company_in...ffic_data.html
and they already released touchscreen ready nav unit (looks like DVA-5210 but a little bit thinner) in UK so i'm assuming it will be in the US soon.
if you buy 901, you will not be able to use this nav.
