it is killer price.
now im very seriously trip up to NJ to install mine.

 

I just got back from audio shop.
my final price was 1885.xx installed include tax.
it looks very good and very easy to use. but still confused on esn setup.
overall i'm very pleased except it doesn't support ipod like alpine unit's.

 

Which shop did you go to?

 

my local shop.
basically i asked them for same price your shop quoted but was impossible.
so what we did was same price my shop quoted (1885) but tax included.

 

I just got an AVN5435 from the Good Guys for ~1800 before tax and 120 with 3 year extended warranty. The total was around 2100.

I'm going to install it this week. I looked at the instructions and nothing more challenging from my Pioneer other than the nav antennae, speed and brake sensor.

I've been having some nav envy from you factory guys so I feel more adequate now.

You do know that you automatically get 3 year warranty when the unit is installed by an authorized Eclipse vendor.

 

Does anyone know if there is an Authorized dealer that sells the Eclipse AVN 5435 at South Carolina? I'm intrested in buying. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

According to the warranty card I only get one year. I haven't read all the details since I've been busy this week. Thanks for reminding me to read the binding contract.

Wasn't there some theft warranty where the company replaces your unit if it gets stolen?

 

no theft warranty on those units only the non video has them. i've had eclipse the last 5 years and my current one is the avn-2454 and theft warranty just manufacturer defect warranty.

Agreed warranty card only says one year, but getting it installed through an Eclipse dealer gets your 3 years. You also get ONE YEAR theft replacement ONLY IF INSTALLED BY AN ECLIPSE DEALER.

 

I have the unit and the Elipse Limited Warranty card in front of me. I don't want to type the entire card out but let me summarize it as saying if their are any problems of workmanship within one year, Eclipse will repair it with all rights going to them. It says nothing about who installs it but who you purchased it from most importantly an authorized dealer.

Maybe the 2453 series and the 5495 series is different in there policy.

 

Call up Eclipse customer service. I called them before regarding the warranty information and the lady told me about the 3 years warranty and 1 year theft replacement.

 

I just did thanks for sharing the info. Al's and Ed Autosound will be installing it and I will get it back in 4 hours. I can't wait.
