hi.

i've been wanting to get a decent headunit that can match our amber colored interior lights.

i was looking at alpine 9855, because i can change the color of the lights on the HU to match the color, and i really like their white display. but its kinda too expensive and it is out of stock everywhere right now.

plz suggest some good HUs that matches our interior lights.

try, last year's alpine 9835 or 9833 should be around $300

 

Clarion DXZ745MP I got mine for 150 on ebay.

got the 9835, not only can you change the color of the main buttons but all theother buttons have an amber that PERFECTLY matches the interior of the z.

 

I got a clarion -- also got a four.1 eq -- had to pop open the eq and swap the green LEDs for Orange ones

believe me, you'll like it if you find the right setup

 

Yeah i had the same requirement for my head unit. It also had to be double din. So after trying unsuccessfully searching for like a month, i accidentally came across this double din pioneer unit with a colour change center screen. I think it is a 2003 or 2004 model. I'll post pics and more info about it when my install is complete.

 

I went with the Alpine for the ability to change the display color and for iPod compatibility. Looks really good at night with Amber display, but in daylight the buttons are still blue. Oh, well. Overall, I'm still really happy with it.

yeah. i was really looking into 9855, and 9835 but they are really hard to find right now. im gonna have to look into clarion and other brands as well.

plz let me know if you know of more HUs with matching lights.
