Default HU install help! no power!

guys i've been trying to install this HU but i cannot for the life of me figure out why i'm getting no power

at first i thought it was the "plug and play" harness adapter that had bad wiring, but i verified everythin based on service manual's pin layouts.

i removed the harness adapter and tried to splice right into the power and ground on the harness but the HU doesnt even power on or make any noises whatsoever.

any ideas??

if you had the power and ground wires connected properly, it is possible you have a damaged h/u. or, does the harness for your h/u have a fuse inline with the power wire? maybe the fuse is bad?

on the back of it...? I havent looked at it for a while but I'm thinking that it screws out of the back. But I could very well be wrong.

no -- i think it should be one of the fuses in the Fuse array under the hood or under the driver foot well area. i guess i'll just yank one by one and check em all hah
