Bose owners file your complaint here
I'm not sure if this qualifies for anything...but here's my "story".
I'm 20, male and drive a Techno Blue New Beetle, and I love my car.

I'm very interested in the Z. My father and I went to the dealership (because alone, they wouldn't even look at me, even though I'm paying for it). I took an automatic Touring Lemans for a test-drive, with the salesman shotgun. I dropped a CD in, after turning over, and buckling my belt. I cracked the bass right away, I quickly noticed it was bass-heavy, I turned to down to 2 or 3 (can't remember) and everything was fine. I backed out, and took off down the road. Its a two-lane, dual directional "high-way" that no one travels. I had plenty of opportunity to cruise peaking at 90mph (which the salesman didn't realize til I said something to my father) Anyway. I didn't notice any problems with the BOSE, in fact, I was extremely impressed with the system. Other than the initial overwhelming bass at 5, I didn't have any trouble or complaints. Have they changed the system in the more recently produced cars? I'm not sure on the produciton date, they've sold that particular model since I've been there.
This entire BOSE thread is a dissapointment for me. The premium system was one of the reasons I was leaning towards the Touring rather than the Track. I'm starting to think that a Track with aftermarket leather and an aftermarket system would be better
