Wow! I'll bet that those will sound great and they look amazing but, being silver, won't the windshield reflection drive you nuts? I personally can't stand having a shiny dash for that very reason. Very very nice though.

great thread, very informative, good pics, very high quality work
BUT - i hate to be this way... but:
you are barking up the wrong tree. honestly, i'd bet some serious cash that spending the money that was spent on a custom install to buy better components (i'm a bit biased but i think my Dynaudio stuff is pretty decent in the car) and simply mounting it PROPERLY in the stock location will do it.
we spent nearly 4 hours putting my dyn tweeters into the stock location - it looks STOCK, the grill looks like it belonged there from the factory - sorry i don't have pics right now as i'm out of town and my car is in the body shop... but anyway just my $.02.
i will reiterate, the quality of that custom / glass work looks STUNNING (its just that i think money is better spent on components / amps / WIRE!!!! / source)

i agree it was a lot of money, and you are probally right,
to me this was the best option for my tweeters, i just didnt like the stock location, and if i were to spend any more money on even better components, dont you think that they would deserve better than the stock location?
these eclipse speakers are not the best money can buy, but they are also not crap...
also money better spent on amp/wire....
my rcs cost $150
and speaker wire was around the same..
my amp is the best eclipse make,
the only money i have to spend now is on my sub setup...
money is money, everything is expencive.. what can you do...
but i agree it could have been done cheaper from the begining,
it just didnt turn out that way.......

they look good dude
nothing like a unique custom install
if u want to add some silver, you could buy a set of those primaru guage pods and spray them silver. Would tie it in perfectly
