well, there is the passport solo 2, but i would just rather run the cord through the roof and hardwire it to the car.

are you wanting to take it out and change cars?

cordless are less effective than the plug in since they don't have a strong constant source of power.

I have been using a Solo II for a year now.
Have not experienced any problems with
sensitivity at all. Works really well for me
and what I use it for, I would buy another.
Its switched in and out of my Z and Altima
all day long. It's just my opinion, but I would
recommend the Solo II. True, there are better
units (I guess), but know matter what you buy
there will always be something better. Take the
350z for example

Thumbs up

I have the solo S2 and have good luck with it pretty good range and sound/Volume . I previously had the Passport 8500 and I really didn't notice much of a difference .

I know a guy who has a cordless radar detector. His battery ran low. So he decided to goto a store for some fresh batteries. While he was on his way to the store he got stopped by a local cop and got a ticket for speeding.

Default Buy the Solo S2.

Works great, easy to take down, no wire showing, or to tuck. New tech. allows the battery to last much longer, and has a indicator letting you know when it's time to replace. I highly recommend it. JK

The valentine by far in my experience is the best. Never heard of anyone getting a ticket with a valintine. With that said, the reality of radar detectors is that they let you know you been owned. Sure, a good radar will pick up "stray waves" from a patrol car but if an officer were to sit down and enforce speeding, he usally picks a spot where it doesn't matter. Also, it takes .40 sec to receive and lock a radar reading, and 0.02 sec for laser. Either case, by the time your detector pics up the signal, you been owned. Just drive safe, and use the money on a nice dinner or mods.
