Fiberglass Encloser Progress.
hate to ask this, but have you trial fit to make sure you can still get the completed enclosure in the car? the work looks really good, but i have run into this and gotten ahead of myself, lol.

Like a glove. Fitment is great. Really snug. I'll just have to build up carefully but to be honest, i'm not concerned. I put alot of r&d on this encloser and prepared well. This is my first fiberglass project but i have alot of general experience. Working on Fiberglass was just a mater of time. Infact, i'll go take some pics of it installed today and post up later. Thanks for the concern. I appreciate it.

I have to do a build up with BONDO to fill the edge and gaps. Cut down the BONDO to get the overall desired shape. Fill in surface gaps with EVERGLASS then sand that down with 60 grt sand paper and re apply EVERGLASS until the surface of my encloser is consistant. next comes the RAGE GOLD build up. It's softer texter makes it easier to sand and is used to fill little dips on the finish surface. This process will have to be repeated. How much times it needs to be repeated depends on how well i've done my earlier build up. After i get the desired finish look that i want, i work it with some progressive sanding starting from about 250 grt and work it up to a finer grt. This will pretty much provide the finishing touches for my encloser and get it ready for painting. Before painting, i'll be using a HIGH BUILD POLY PRIMER which will need to be wet sanded before i paint. Surface at this point has to smooth and flawless as you will be able to see blemishes even after it has been painted. At this point, I'll be painting it PPW along with other random interior parts. Well thats the plan anyway. I'll be starting this whole process this week. Hopefully i can get it painted next week. I will nedd to get the paint first.
