Question need sub advice/input

I just bought an under strut sub enclosure off of ebay so now I'm tryin to decide what 10" sub i want. my buddy works at best buy which means his discount is my discount, pretty sweet. unfortunately best buy doesn't have the best subs to choose from. so i'm looking at the fosgate p2 or the alpine swe-1042 (model #). any experience with either of these subs? are there any subs in the 120 price range that I'm overlooking? THANKS in advance

Jordan

i actually work at best buy as well... so i work with these everyday.. and i have installed them many times... personally i would say go with the alpine type e you will get better sound quality and more power handling. the p2s are alright it is really a matter of personal preference, most people i have talked to agree that the alpine sounds better.. just my .02

the w1 is a decent sub, for hte price, i think a ID 10 would really beat it in output, low freq extension, and overall tonal balance

those are all nice subs but you gotta remember hes talkin about gettin a sub from bbuy with his friends discount.. so yea those subs are great but they will cost twice as much as the others.. i think type e's are in the neighborhood of $60 each for an employee at bbuy..

If you're looking for a $120 sub...this is what all the elitecaraudio guys will point you to. Can't get it at Best Buy though...

Most of the single 10 under the strut boxes come with .75 ft3 internal volume. see which one of the subs you want matches those specs the best. and make sure the sub is not more than 7 inches deep.
