Default Upgrading stock speakers????

Anyone have either of these speakers? I'm upgrading from stock speakers and have already replaced the HU with a Pioneer. Here's what I was thinking...let me know what you think (keep in mind, I'm on a budget). Eventually planning on getting an Amp, but only speakers for now.

Fronts:

Rockford 6-1/2" 2-Way 120W Components, Model P162S

Rears:

Alpine 6-1/2" Coaxial 2-Way, Model SPS-170A

if it were me, i would rather go with same brand speakers all around. sound quality could be a little different, but i notice those small things so thats just me.

Instead of spending $320 on both I would forget about replacing the rear speakers and spend it on higher quality front components. This is more important as the rears are only for fill anyways. Then when you have enough to buy an amp you can cut out the rears altoghether. Running front components only will give you better sound imaging. Some suggestions: CDT Audio CL-61, Elemental Design 6500s, Boston Acoustic Pro Series, Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1. These components will sound far better than the Rockford's and can be found for at or less than you would spend on both pairs you are looking at. Hope this helps.

Agreed. I'd just disconnect the rears all together. Boston Pros are my choice.
