Default 06 Enthusiast w/Base HU - CD Changer Port?

I have seen posts indicating there -is- a CD changer port on the back of the base stock HUs - can anyone verify this is true? What about the 06? I'm trying to avoid pulling the HU just to see.

If I can be sure this is so, then I will get one of those Aux adapters and have my installer put that in. Does anyone know for sure? Help!

Surely one of you guys has seen a naked head unit from an 06!

If not - well, can anyone suggest how i might go about finding out what the details are of the base factory radio (without doing exploratory surgery on my dash)? Is there a tech manual available or something?

Thanks for any help...

Zoe, what source buttons are on the front? Also, do you know how to take the dash apart? It really wouldn't take more than 20 minutes to find out if you have the port on the back.

The lousy base 05' stereo system has the CD changer port. So I doubt
Nissan could further downgrade it in 06'. I replaced the stock HU/6
speakers with an awesome seven speaker 2-amp system. If your
bank account is still smoking from the new Z puchase, save up and
upgrade the entire sound system.
My new high fidelity HU and its specific IPOD cable supports remote
IPOD text control while the IPOD remains in the glove box.
The HU has a spare AUX port for another MP3, XM player,
(also routed the stereo mute wire, while I search for a cheap/smart
circuit to mute it by a simple Hands Free Phone..)
I installed the HU for $400, and replaced the crappy 32ohm stock F&R
speakers for $500. $200 for cables, so for a total of $1100 you'd enjoy
a fantastic upgrade. The only install paid for was the tricky door speakers.
The challenge is to plan and carefully route ALL the wires (including
sub firewall power, speakers, and amp trigger wires near the target amps
location (mine are under the seats) and add top of dash power. Then
you can later add amps, subs, and nav without taking it apart.

Good luck!

If it has a 'radio' button and the factory provides a sat. option, then the PAC AAI-NIS should work. It'll give you two aux. inputs.
