Head Unit Installation
I had this head unit installed last week:

underneath the unit there is a space between the deck and the trim panel, and you can see into the dash. It is something probably no one else would notice besides me, but it kind of bugs me. I am wondering if anybody here knows of a way to fix this; if there is any kind of way to make it completely flush, or if I am just being too picky and should leave it alone. I know the bottom of this particular head unit is sort of oddly shaped, and that probably doesn't help. I tried to take some photos to show what I mean - they aren't that clear, but you should get the gist.

You might think about doing a mod like this one listed for installing tweeters:
http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Tutorial:Tweeter_Mod
It discusses how you can use pieces of the plastic as filler after you've dissolved them in model cement. If you've got leftover pieces from your dash kit, you could break them up and make the putty they're talking about and form that into your space. I would also recommend giving a very light coating of Vaseline or something on your H/U's bottom before you do this so it doesn't stick. After it's set, you could remove the H/U and sand the molded area until it's smooth. You might also consider removing the dash kit and painting it to look like your dash after it's done in case there are any color inconsistencies. Good luck.

How about using rubber sealing strips. You can either slide one into the gap and stuff it in until it sits just right or remove the unit and glue the strips down and reinstall the HU. Just my 2c
