Default integrating lcd screen into cubby hole

Which brand/model of lcd screen is the best fit for the base models that don't have the navigation? I have an 05 base btw.

The Farenheit T-7000MHR 7: TFT-LCD fits into the 2003 cubby like it was designed for it. The '03 cubby and finisher fit the '04 and '05. The advantage of the '03 cubby is that the back of the thing unscrews and the Farenheit drops right in. The disadvantage is that the dash cover is slightly different color - about 5% lighter.

Paul,

Which is the 'dash cover' in which the color is 5% different? Is it the whole piece pictured [that the finish is different from the 04-05s]?
Or could you point that out in your picture, please?

I would like to know what to expect since I just ordered these parts, but haven't gotten them yet.

Thanks in advance!

This is the part that's a bit different color:

Let me see if I have a complete dash picture posted.

Here's a flash picture that shows the difference - but it's not that noticable. The flash has sort of intensified the difference. The grain of the door is different then that of the dash - it's like carbon fiber "different" - but it's not carbon fiber.

If you have an 04 or 05 cubby you can switch the skins so there is no difference. Just takes a little work.

most shops can order it for you even if they do not carry it in their line.

That is the Farenheit. Power Acoustic makes the Farenhiet brand.

i just finished mine, actually mine is the 710 (same monitor just not touch screen). you can definatly make it work with some cutting. it'll look nothing like the farenheight(sp?) though, you can see the entire front of my moniter, cassing and all, which is good because that is where the buttons are.

sorry no pics

The xenarc 700tsv also fits in there, as well as the non touch version. I have mine in there for my carputer. All you have to do is take it out of the case. Picture is crisp and color is amazing. I"ll try to post pics when i get home from work.
