well a touchpad might be too big. try getting an eraser mouse (like ibm's laptops) that should fit right in the spare change area.

I plan on mounting the touch bad from the bottom side, or at least I'm hoping too. I can't stand the eraser style mouse. I might look at a small trackball. Undecided still on what I am going to do. I'm also figuring out where I might use a micro keyboard, as well as where I could store it.

Fry's Electronics sells the Cirque touchpads. Kinda expensive ($30 I think).

http://www.cirque.com/products/glide.html

They have a few OEM products...won't sell to consumers.

another

Might be more trouble than it's worth though....you'd have to soldier...plus the area of drivers.

I posted this elsewhere... but a lot of people were worried about the HDD... you might want to look at IDE flash drives. They are solid state and are compatible with UDMA 66.

No moving parts. A bit expensive but it solves the problem of worrying about moving parts.

Those IDE flash drive would be nice, but not at $1300 for a 2GB drive.

Operating system will take up about 500 MB and GPS program will take another 1 GB.

Default Back in Business.

Got my 2.5" drive and it seems to cure the power problem (I hope). Worked good last night when I was playing around with it.

I'll see if I can post some pictures by the end of the week.
