hmm you do realize that 3" speakers are all going to be midranges...

the smallest coax starts at 3.5

do you just want a midrange?

umm unfortuantely in car audio, almost always, the peoeple that will make a midrange int he 2-3" range are those who make pretty nice, albeit, expensive speakers...

three way comp sets are expensive to begin with usually

and most just use one of their 4" woofers as the midrange...the higher end companies, uses sealed dome midranges in the 2-3" size, if i recall, companies like morel, AVI has something similar too, but they will be in similar prices, if not more... i know my AVI BSM midrange would be easily 5-600 dollars if i bought them separeately.

but...there are a TON of home audio companies that should have 3" midranges...

or you can just get a nice 3 way comp set and that will be your front stage, mid and twee int he A pillar, midbass in the door pods...DLS iridium 6.3 at upper 800 dollar range

Isn't that how it is with all electronics? MP3 players and cell phones are fine examples
