Default Sound deadening my G... my experience.

Hey guys. I finished up sound deadening my G35 and wanted to share my experience with you. I'm sure if we're having problems w/ ambient noise and poor stereo sound in our G's, you guys would be in the same boat. Post up your experiences if you've got any.

awesome job. I'm just dampening from the inside but I like what you did with the outter wheel wells. I might have to incorperate something like that into mine.

Sweet job, looks very similar to what I did in my Z. I added some open cell foam though in areas I could pack it in. I know exactly what you were saying about not noticing because you were doing it in phases. I remember not being able to hear my cell phone and having to wait until I got home to call someone back. The opnly real way to notice the difference is to drive a friend's who has no sound proofing.

A g has the advantage of the back seat... I think pillow stuffing in the area just behind the drivers seat would help a ton me thinks

Thanks for the post...I will be doing the wheel wells as soon as I get more dynamat and possibly the secondskin sludge paint. I just completed sound deadening project on my the interior of my Z after about 20 hours of work (with dynamat, neoprene, and open cell foams). Like you said, I was a little disappointed at the noise reduction improvement, but the bass definitely hits harder and cleaner.

Good luck. One area I think made a nice improvement was dong the cubby area behind the seats. There are some wide gaps in there around the seat belt tensioner.
