Default Line Output Converter....Help please

I need some serious help here people. I've searched and read many threads but still need help here. I just got the Alpine's DVA-9860 DVD/CD Player and want to use it with my Bose factory system. I understand in order to use this unit I need a wiring harness or LOC for it to work with my Bose system. What would be the best bang for the buck Line Output converter to use and where can I get it. I know swapping the entire system is the best bet but I want to use this in the meantime so any ideas would be great thanks. The weird thing is the person I bought the Alpine unit had a PAC adapter but when he removed the headunit and installed it in my car we lost all sound but the unit does power up. He had the PAC-OEM-2on his Z..link here

the thing that we can't figure out is how all of a sudden we lost all sound even when we reconnected it to his car....I'm so confused as to what happened and why the sound is now not working. The headunit is just about brand new......please someone help

Do a seach on here for the bose converter. You have to use it in order for the amps to turn on and you don't want your head unit running at 2ohms to run the stock speakers. This coverter will give the power back to the factory bose amps. That's probably why you have no sound. You might want to consider a different head unit as well. I bought the same unit about a month ago and it crapped out on me the first week.. I have since bought a JVC KD-AVX2. Made the Alpine sound like crap. I have always thought as JVC as a B class headunit, but at a price of $650 retail for this unit, its gotta be reliable. 7 band EQ, crossovers for every individual speaker, video out and well as video/audio in to add a console or navigation or whatever. Chalk full of features. Check it out. Here's a link to my thread...has pics of the unit installed with a screen. https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video/181988-out-with-the-blose-in-with-the-good-sh-t.html
