Look into the resonant engineering (they make a few models depending how hard core u wanna go) if u want a sub that is = ot or better at a better price. Actually there are a few id look at first. Dont get me wrong those jl's are GREAT subs but u can get = or mildly better from other brands for less cash. I use to have a RE XXX 10" with 800 watts rms and it was actually too much for my likeing.

1. yes
2. yes
3. RE Stopped making the XXX in 10inch form. The line just bellow the XXX has a 10inch woofer that works well in very small boxes which is what you would be using in the Z.

I do no recommend JL products because:
1. they cost more than they are worth.
2 the many setups with JL stuff I have heard do not justify the steep price point for everything they make.

JL is good but i do agree ur gonna pay a good bit more for the name then another sub that will be = to or better. Check this site out I love RE personally but there are other brands that are almost identical woofer and price. If ur interested in changing from jl let me know ill point u to other options. http://www.reaudio.com/html/
