Ok, I think Punish is talking about getting the upper-center console to seat correctly, and wiring being the cause (aside from access to the two bolts, like a couple of us have).

But the gap between the mating surfaces of the nav cubby and the console is due to the nav vs non-nav console differences.

Desi, et al: You need to contact a user on this forum named 'BPL'. He can build you a custom microprocessor which will control the nav door without the OEM nav "brain".

Do a search on my350z for BPL, nav door, etc. and you'll pull up plenty of info.

So smoky did you buy the microprocessor from BPL yet. Detail please. how much, and if it works.

Yes, BPL built the one I am using and it works great. Door is smooth (as smooth as OEM anyway). Works every time! You can even configure the operation using a mechanical jumper on the processor board which allows you to choose between: "Remember pre-shutdown door status (open/close)" and "Door always shut on start-up"

It's very slick!
