Worked perfectly. I recently had all the garage door motors replaced(for non related reasons) and they were "rolling code" types. They had a very big and obvious "Learn" button on them.

Now I put my garage door remote back into my beater car where it will be there to stay!

After I programmed the Z, I went ahead and programmed my dad's Lexus IS250 homelink. It had the same EXACT procedures as the Z.

I have two garages, can I set the homelink in a way that the different button opens the different garage door?

What exactly is the rolling door garage opener? I have those normal one's that you are in the centre of the ceiling. You press the button to open them, or if you're outside there's a keypad on the wall and you can enter the code on the keypad and press enter to open it.

Default hi

I had to hold down the "learn" button for 30 seconds to clear the memory. Once that was done, I could program the HomeLink in our 2 cars along with the wireless keypad outside the garage for that opener.

Thank you for the useful information. It helps a lot to us. Allows you to open and close your garage door or turn inside lights on and off from the safety and comfort of your car.

Recently got Z, I tried to program the Homelink...saw there wasn't a connection.

Found the previous owner for some reason had a connector in center console...didn't know what it was at the time. Went and bought wires to splice into connector...only to find original wiring in headliner LOL...so I spliced about a 6" wire on the connector for play...connect the 3 wires...then I saw lights and figured I was good.

Came here and found programming for rolling code....Worked PERFECT....1st try. Thanks for the great write up.

I'm having hard time programming Homelink in my 08 Z to my Chamberlain B980.
Step3: When I'm holding both buttons, Homelink stops flashing and goes off at about 60 sec mark. And it does not program. I tried Canadian method as well (hold 2 sec cycle as well).
Clearing the memory works like described in the manual. Just can't program it....
