Ok guys, now I need help deciding between the Eclipse
AVN5435 or the Alpine IVA W200. What do you think?

 

I like the IVA-W200. I'm installing the bluetooth and iPod connections tomorrow, I'll let you know how that goes. I don't think they offer a bluetooth adapter for the eclipse. Also, on the alp, u can load background from Alpine's website...so you can pick an amber colored background to match your dash illumination

I have this and I love it. I also got the SIRIUS tuner thats available for it as well. Is there anything specific youre looking for in your new unit?

 

as long as it can play dvd mp3s and has or can add navi too it. the rest is just a bonus for me

 

I love having in-car navigation as it allows me to go places I'd never go, to take short cuts around traffic jams that I'd never take, and never getting lost is always a good thing. It looks like the Eclipse features navigation and the Alpine doesn't.

 

I dunno about stock navi but mine is awesome, itll even give me the phone numbers of points of interest!

That crutchfield link has the eclipse on special.... i think paid like $1300-1400 for mine back in January.... my bf installed it and his only complaint was that there were less "tweaking" options for audio than his kenwood unit but i love it! Some units allow you to add on navi but then thats another unit you have to stick somewhere, all in one is the best way to go even if its not 100% top of the line, its still a great system.

i would vote for alpine...never been a fan of eclipse to be honest...also think about the pioneer 6800 dvd

Eclipse! But, if you have the Bose speakers, look into getting a 4ch adjustaable line output converter and Bose harness.

 

I know this was not an option in your selection, But check out the DDX-6019 By Kenwood.

 

The Eclipse 5435 is way better then the W200. The W200 is one of the first Alpine units I really like too. Now if you were comparing the W200 to a 2000 series Eclipse I'd vote for the Alpine which is really weird because I love Eclipse HUs.
