And in my experience in So Cal a radar detector is useless on the freeway. It's only worthwhile on some of the faster roads. My 2 cents.
I agree with the fact its better to slow down but the truth is if your radar goes off on your little $60.00 radar you bought at the gas station ( had one called it the run detector) then you have already been spotted and radar'ed which mean they already know how fast you were going and it doesnt matter if you slow down or not, as they can ticket you for it. The reason people spend all this money is to be able to recieve the signal from far enough away that you have time to slow down before the cop knows u were speeding.

Call Valentine Research at 1 800 331 3030 and ask for a returned V1 and you will get 10% off the retail price of $399. It will be the latest version V1.8 POP2 w/ Euro-mode and 3.858 firmware and that comes with all the accessories and a 1 year warranty.

The latest unbiased independent radar detector test has already proven that the V1 is still #1.
