Default How To Remove Factory Navigation System?

hey guys, i did a search and couldnt get any results. How do you remove the factory navigation off an 03 automatic Z? I need to remove this guys factory navi tommo so i can install it on my 350z. Please help!!....

You are better off trading cars.

When it comes to modding, I think people can do whatever they want, it's their car, even if it seems strange or overly expensive.

On that note though, as far as I have seen on this board, nobody has been able to install a factory nav in a car that did not come with it preinstalled. It is not just a matter of components but the wiring harness and some have mentioned possibly the ECU.

Had this topic not been discussed again less than a week ago, I might think there was new information on this but since that thread fell flat, it would seem not.

i mean, couldnt i ask the dealer to install the navi for me and ask them to do watever is takes to have the navi running. If the install doesnt go through, i can always resell them to people who are good wit electrical stuff you know. Any help would be appriciated!

Sure, if you like paying 2-3 times more than what it costs for an aftermarket navi that has more updated maps, more features, extra a/v ouptuts and can work while you are moving...

It's been done on a G35, with a hefty price tag and a long install.

The main harness needs to be changed to a Navi harness. This means you need to take everything out of the inside of the car, pull out all the wiring, and replace it with a different harness. Then, mount all the new navi stuff and put it all back together.

Good luck, but I would go aftermarket....

THe factory nav can easily be moddifed to work while you are moving. huumm let me find my threat!?! ohh, there it is..
