What kind of amps are people running and are they using CAPS or does the car supply enough power for the AMPS.
I know some people here are running the ALPINE MRV-F450 (850 watts max) who have to run caps in order for the amp to get enough power. However I don't know if they have the gain maxed out. I have one of these amps waiting to be installed just waiting on the components.

 

look for a thread titled "now it hits hard" or something to that nature, I believe he has 2 amps, one of which is a 1000watt amp powering 3 subs.

Here's mine. I used 1 Phoenix Gold 1.2F cap...it will help alot. A few have upgraded to an Optima battery, but I think the stock system is OK. I am not sure what the ampere rating on the stock alternator is, but when my system is loud, the lights (interior and exterior) do dim slightly. I am running 4 gauge from the battery to the factory Bose location where my amps reside. I may consider a battery upgrade in the near future, if I can add one without too much trouble.
