Default aftermarket headunit question...

hi guys,

i am stumped again, i have a pioneer deh-p8400mp and the screen stop working. I had this problem before and my friend changed something. here is my problem: when you take off the face-plate to store away. the headunit (without the face-plate) shows a computer chip screwed on to it. what is that chip called? i have been looking everywhere but cant seem to find it! thanks in advance!
