Well… You received good advice from some people who took time to answer your question. Sounds to me like you are dismissing the advice you received and plan to proceed with whatever plan you had in mind.
Here is some information:
1) Nissan/Infiniti OEM provider for navigation is Xanavi Navigation Systems.
2) If your Z does not have OEM Nissan navigation, your Nissan dealer (and no other sane person) will not install Nissan’s OEM navigation product into your car ….Period. The only way to get OEM navigation into a Z is directly from the factory.
And… why would you want Nissan’s OEM navigation unit when you can get a much better product (i.e., navigation, video, etc.) from aftermarket suppliers?

I trashed the crappy Bose radio, speakers, and amplifiers and put some real equipment in for about that. 6-disk CD player with MP3, DVD player, 7" screen, twin subwoofers, Pioneer AVIC N2 with navigation ... all something different than the stock Bose that's in a thousand other Z's.
