Default Cd Rom Mount In Z Dash!

HI,

OKay, ive searched for ever! and i even pm'd the guy that i found this picture on and i havent gotten a response? i dont know if hes still on the forum or not?

Well, i have my x box in the Z and i really want a way to mount the CD Rom for more accessiblity! I really think i can mount it under the AC controls under the UNIMETER computer thats in there!

Q1: I want to know how this guy did this! ive read and read where IDE cables are not great at long distances or dont work at all! and the Xbox1 only has one ide0 port on it. so the cd rom has to be mounted as a slave drive so thus making the length of ide cable difficult?

Does anyone know this guy or know how he did it.

and is there anyone out there that also has the xbox mod and can show me where they put the cd roms.

so far ive gotten the xbox to work with a decently long ide that i can mount it in the glove box on top behind the passenger seat but thats about the farthest i can get from the xbox console itself in the larger keyed glove box below it.

Also,
i know you can mod the xbox and store movies and such and not have to deal with the cdrom drive but i have a woman that likes the idea that she grabs a movie 2 seconds before we leave the house on a trip to see and that kills the whole download to the large xbox hd idea! she hates having to reach behind the seat to start a dvd.

thanks so much.

no flames please. im looking for answers here.

thanks,
jason!

those are from a long time ago from around when ever I joined the forum.

I think a better direction to go is to check out carputers and use a extra long usb cable which can be found easily.
