Alpine speakers?
I dont know jack **** about speakers or subs.......i have a pair of Alpine SPS-1729s 6.5 Coaxial 2 way speakers that i got as a gift.... I have a factory head unit, and no amps or anything, basicly, my sound system is stock, no BOSE w/ Navi tho... Should i even bother putting these speakers in? and if i do, should i put them in the front or rear... im guessing the front....Also do u think i will i notice a difference.....
I was also thinking about buying another pair to have all 4....
oh yea, did u guys ever notice that if u put up ur bass, the driverside armrest rattles and makes a crappy noise, and if u apply a pressure to armrest, it goes away....

Here are some more thoughts related to your thread.
I would not buy another set of the Alpines (the ones you got as a gift) for the front doors. If you swap out the front door speakers, you’re better-off replacing with components and adding an amp. And then… replacing the HU, and then buying a…. (it never ends...$$$)
About the rattle in the driver’s side armrest: Something is loose (the armrest, door speaker, or something inside the door). Here is an active thread about your problem:

j/k Anyones advice is as good an any other, and you probably have figured out a solution by now since this thread is pretty old, but I HOPE that you didn't put the alpines in the rear. If you did... NEW PROJECT!
The stock rear speakers in the Z do exactly what they are supposed to do. ...which is get disconnected and be ignored.
It is laughable how much some people spend on an SQ system in a CAR. Then dynomat the sh*t out of it and add like 40 pounds. Only to find that you still dont have a silent environment. Oh wait, ITS A CAR. This is fine if you have the dough to blow. But, my days of $5k installs are over.
I once bought a pair of polk audio coaxs for $100 (my old 2003 350z). they didnt make a big difference from the stock system, so I upgraded to Jl audio XR comps. They didnt make a difference, so I added an amplifier. That didnt make a difference, so I swapped the head unit. Hey that made a small difference. Then my friend click me Nizl wasnt satisfied with my solution... so he outdid my install with tons of $$$. The end result... he was pissed that when the car started rolling, all kinds of phase anomalies occurred with this perfect audio sound setup.
End result.... Alpine coaxs in the door = fine.

front stage is more beneficial than rear fill
to answer you do front
don't expect a huge differance in sound from installing a set of coaxils
